No. The DF-850 uses a full aftermarket housing — there is no core exchange required. You receive a complete new unit ready to install.

G20/G22/G42/G29 sport models use a 6-port intake manifold. SAV models (X3, X4, X5, X6, X7) and full-size sedans (5-Series, 7-Series) use a 2-port manifold. Contact us to confirm for your VIN.

The DF-850 is a hybrid bolt-in turbo targeting ~720 WHP on E30–E85 for B58 Gen 2 (G-series) only. The DF-6769 Vortex is our flagship full frame bottom mount, targeting 800–900+ WHP on ethanol, and fits both B58 Gen 1 (F-series) and Gen 2 (G-series). If you're building for maximum power or have a Gen 1 chassis, the Vortex is the move. The DF-850 is the sweet spot for a strong street build with fast spool.
